The Challenge

The IIT Roorkee Alumni Association Nepal (IITRAAN) needed a centralized digital hub to bridge the gap between nearly 500 alumni living across the globe. The platform had to serve multiple purposes: act as a repository for institutional history, manage membership registrations, facilitate event communication, and provide a space for alumni mentorship and knowledge sharing.

Core Contributions

• Digital Ecosystem Development: Built a comprehensive organizational portal that digitizes the association’s management, from board meeting minutes and public notices to event archives.

• Community Engagement Tools: Designed and integrated a secure alumni registration and database management system, enabling the association to keep its membership engaged through automated updates and event invitations.

• Knowledge & Mentorship Hub: Developed dedicated sections for “Mentoring Plans” and “Technical Advisory Services,” creating a professional framework where senior alumni can mentor younger graduates.

• Event Management: Implemented an integrated event system to handle large-scale reunions and seminars, including RSVP/registration flows and automated notifications for thousands of potential participants.

• Information Architecture: Reorganized decades of institutional data—spanning 175 years of history—into a clean, accessible format that respects the institution’s prestige while improving user navigation.
